This was the clock that I had set up to show when Benedict XVI (#266) would become the 5th oldest pope since 1400.

But, in the current scenario this milestone seems immaterial given the suffering of the poor, framed butler. I, for one, want to make sure that we don’t forget him.

So this clock, started at 17:00 Rome time, Wednesday, May 23, 2012, which, as far as I can tell, is roughly about when he was unceremoniously arrested, will stay here —-> as a reminder to us all that Mr. Gabriele needs to be freed.

Mr. Gabriele’s unnecessary detention ONLY highlights how weak, frail, alienated and powerless the pope is. He was never a Rottweiler. He worked for a strong, decisive pope who made Ratzinger look good. On his own he has shown that he has no teeth, a feeble pope. Cf. Paul VI’s (#263) last days.

Look to your right (or as we say in Sri Lanka the hand you eat with) >>>
