I had just, within minutes, posted a piece about the pope and Brazil where I said that I couldn’t make up, even if I tried, all these amazing missteps by the Vatican. I said it was like outtakes from a bad, late night TV comedy show. Having posted that, I, as is my wont, did a quick search of the Web to see if the pope had provided me with any further grist for the mill.
I see this. I couldn’t believe it. Yes, he is new, having been the last created at the last consistory. But, this is SO STUPID. It is as if there is a campaign to discredit this poor, old pope. Also see.
