Argentinian Bishop, Fernando Maria Bargallo, is caught red-handed with his arms around a bikini clad woman, lies about it — and is NOT fired. We have yet to have a U.S. bishop fired for protecting pedophile priests. But, the pope is quite happy to fire a bishop from ‘tiny’ Slovakia which has a total population of around 5.5 million — New York City having over 8 million. This firing may backfire on the pope or the Vatican — but I am getting more and more convinced that the pope no longer cares, or fully appreciates what he is doing. He is on a slippery slope. His trip to Castel Gandolfo tomorrow, July 3, for his annual Summer retreat, could be his last trip there.
