The Vatican announced today, Tuesday, June 26, 2012, that 75-year old Italian Cardinal Antonelli’s retirement as the President, Pontifical Council for the Family has been accepted by the pope. He was the 2nd youngest retirement pending curial cardinal. He was less than 8 months past his 75th birthday — a tad quick for a typical retirement. So not sure if there is more to this than catches the eye — especially with Vatileaks in the air.
