At the same time that the pope was appointing the 68-year old, Dominincan U.S. Archbishop Augustine Di Noia, O.P., a seasoned curialist, as Vice President of the Pontifical Commission ‘Ecclesia Dei‘ to deal with the much anticipated reconciliation with the SSPX — the SSPX rejects the pope’s latest offer! This is a huge blow for the poor old Pope. A reconciliation with the SSPX is his major hope now of having a BIG WIN during his increasingly benighted papacy — Vatileaks destined to dominate his final legacy.
SSPX to him is what Obamacare is to Obama — except, thank God, Obama won BIG this week (just going to prove, as George S. Patton would have said, whose side God really is on).
The supreme irony, the SSPX rejection letter was LEAKED to the media. There really is no respite for the poor old pope.
